Written by Joss Whedon and Brian Lynch, art by Nick Runge, covers by Runge and Alex Garner.

The second of two Angel issues arrives this month, and it brings with it a new artist, Nick Runge (artist on the "First Night" Wesley story). The gang's all here as the forces of evil attack from all sides. But Angel's not just fighting for his own life, the fate of someone he never thought he'd see again hangs in the balance.

Cover is great! Kinda looks more like Angelus than Angel IMO!
Sounds like Cordy might just be coming back....hope she has a good excuse. I don't want it to ruin her exit!

Best cover yet! ;D

And it says "Runge" down in the lower-left, so if the interior artwork is anywhere near as good as this, the last few issues should be awesome!

But I'm still a little disappointed Urru isn't finishing up this series so that, aside from "First Night", the art would match all the way thru... :(

I doubt Cordy's fate would be hanging in the balance, she's a higher power and even if she is involved in this I can't see any problems for her coming up. I think it's more likely Fred, thanks to Illyria's issues. But that may just be wishful thinking on my part, hoping they'll bring her back. Hopefully we'll find out more about whoever it is when #5 comes out, because I really don't want to wait until June.

Cordy isn't a higher power. The whole thing was a manipulation so Jasmine, the actual higher power, could take over her body. After she gave birth to Jasmine and up until her death, Cordy was nothing but a regular human.

Ah, thx. That whole thing kind of confused me... I just figured since she got the vision in season 5 she would end up becoming something big. Idk.

Great cover, and I'd wager the person in question is Fred. She was mentioned in one of the very first lines of the series; and there were plots planned for the original season 6.

A crossover will be unllikely for this miniseries due to licensing issues. There's also the fact that Angel and the gang are stuck in a hell dimension and that makes taking a grey hound more of a problem than it usually is.

I'd like to see Fred brought back. I heard rumors a while back that if a sixth season was made, it would've explored the dual nature of Illyria and Fred. It wouldn't surprise me if that plot thread gets used in ATF.

Didn't she become "part demon" so that the visions wouldn't kill her? I think it was in the episode "Birthday". That might just explain why she might be back. Those silly ol' demons, never know what they are going to do next! lol

The artwork is the best yet and we can probably expect this throughout. I know it mentions that he's doing the Wesley story- look back at the preview Wesley page and see how amazing he looks. Much better than Urru (even though I do love his work, Wes doesn't look that great)

I'm not ready to see Fred again either. Illyira needs to grow and fester some more before she leaves us, if she leaves.

I really do think that it is Cordy coming back. Sure she died and all but did her death mean anything really? She died being protected by Wolfram & Hart. So that kinda makes her there property in a way. For all we know they might bring her back to torment Angel. They are bitches like that.
